My love for animals and nature has always been more than surface level. Throughout my childhood I was surrounded by dogs, fish, turtles, kookaburras you name it. This sparked a desire in my heart for an animal of my own.
At the age of 11 my mum bought me a beautiful Begalier named Miki. She was my best friend however she did not come without her issues. Miki suffered from epilepsy, irritable bowel syndrome and many other problems related to these conditions. My mum worked with Fiona before she bought Pet Deli which sparked a relationship between Fiona and I. Early last year she helped us move Miki to a raw diet which helped tremendously with her behaviour and bowel issues. Sadly she passed away last year unexpectedly but the love and support my family and I received from the Pet Deli Team was like no other. This is where my desire to join the Team began.
Outside of my love for dogs, horses is where my true passion lies. I have been a dedicated horse owner for the last 6 years of my life, currently owning two beautiful boys of my own, Maverick and Ruben. When I am not at school or work I am with my horses as I believe anytime spent with them is time well spent. They have been an endless support for me throughout my schooling keeping me accountable and passionate. They have challenged me physically, mentally, and emotionally which has helped shaped me into the empathetic and hard working person I am today. I have worked alongside a number of vets throughout my time as a horse owner and a dog owner which has further driven my desire to help others give their animals the best life they possibly can. One of my strongest beliefs is giving back to the animals who give us so much and at Pet Deli that is something we strive towards.
